Owning Your Own Life

What took me over 30 years to learn is to live my life, not anyone else’s, not even the past dream for my life but my life now in this moment. In the moment I’m 2,000 feet up in an airplane flying home from Dallas Texas and well now is a good as time as any to remind myself to live my life now. See I have a 1:00 appointment that I’m desperately trying to get to and we’ll all was fine until sitting in the airport terminal someone over the loud speaker comes on and says due to weather we are delayed. It’s interesting in that moment everything changes and I’m wishing to live someone else’s life who was already landing and on time to her appointment. But I can’t I’m stuck and can do nothing about it. Even if I tell the ticket man that my app says the weather's fine at home for some reason I feel like my opinion or my app will make much of a difference. So I sit and wait and pray and decide this is my life today and it’s beyond my control. See sometimes okay many times we see setbacks in life as delays when in fact they just maybe setups for our next season or our next moments. So in this moment I choose to accept and live my life, not anyone else even if I don’t make my 1:00 appointment
